Summer School on Applied Analysis 2006 (Poster)

The summer school is devoted to applied Analysis. The courses, focusing on different aspects of Applied Analysis, will take place every morning Monday-Friday during the entire week, and will be followed by exercises in the afternoons. It is meant for training of undergraduate students, Ph.D. students and young post-doc researchers. The registration is free, but we may limit the number of participants, if necessary.

Lectures

There will be five general lectures given by the following speakers. The topics and speakers of the lectures will be Albrecht Böttcher     An introduction to pseudospectra
Peter Junghanns     Orthogonal polynomials and numerical methods for integral equations
Daniel Potts            Fast Fourier transform at nonequispaced knots
Bernd Silbermann   Distributional versions of Szegö limit type theorems
Peter Stollmann      Quantum models between order and disorder
