Serial Printer emulator:
Emulates a serial printer on a computer's serial port
and redirects raw printer data to a Windows printer.
Can interpret Epson ESC/P and ESC/P2 sequences
and redirect to any Windows printer or PDF generator.
Only for text, currently no support for raster graphics.
Full Unicode support, here for selecting a (maybe)
Chinese-named Windows printer.
### Requirements:
Windows 9x, Me;
Windows NT4, 2k, XP, Vista.
Internet Explorer 4 or higher (shlwapi.dll).
### Installation:
Copy the SPE.EXE to a directory of your hard disk.
Then create a link into Autostart group
of your or all user's start menu.
Run SPE.EXE and select COM port, time-out value
and a Windows printer as desired.
Then press OK and the program disappears.
You can only kill it with task manager.
Once the configuration is saved (in registry),
launching SPE.EXE will not show up any window,
so this “driver” will work silently.
### Re-configuration:
Kill any running SPE.EXE.
Run SPE.EXE with any command line argument.
Checking the sound can be done by right-clicking
onto the appropriate "..." button.
If you encounter problems with ESC/P processing,
switch to "Output to file" and send me the file
for investigation and bug fixing.
### Deinstallation:
Kill any running SPE.EXE.
Delete SPE.EXE file.
Delete the start menu link you made.
