Timeacc
Timeacc is a tool to perform Time accounting on an Linux network.
The package consists of three parts. The Server, the Client and the PAM Module
Server
The server has access to the account database and servers the clients.
Client
The client receives the login-request from the PAM Module. It passes it to the server and waits for an reply which contains the amount of time the user has left. If the login is granted, the client regularly checks, if any login-time is left for the user and if not, it loggs off the user.
PAM Module
The PAM Module provides an easy way to included the timeaccounting in any desired login-facility eg. Login, xdm or ssh.
