Some of the projects I have been involved or am still involved.
LMMS (Linux MultiMedia Studio)- cross-platform software suite for digital music-production
various Kernel patches & drivers- ported to recent Kernel versions
iTALC (Intelligent Teaching And Learning with Computers)- cross-platform didactical software for teachers, similiar to MasterEye
Personal Packaging Archives- various useful Debian packages such as LMMS, UltraStar Deluxe and a MinGW32/64 crosscompiling environment
RuckTrack- a free GPS file analyzing program, allowing to review routes tracked via GPS. It features GoogleMaps integration, graphs, statistics and capabilities for automatically correcting elevation information via SRTM data.
QModBus- a free cross-platform ModBus master application allowing easy communication with ModBus slaves over serial line interface
QDataMatrix- a graphical user interface for easily printing a series of 2D barcode labels (DataMatrix standard). Lots of options allow full customization of label layout. Furthermore you can export the output as PDF or PNG.
wiki2tex- a template-based converter from MediaWiki-markup to TeX
Weatherstation at Agricola-Gymnasium Chemnitz- self-built and programmed weatherstation (Atmel AT90S4433-microcontroller) with MySQL-backend and PHP-web-frontend (for some reason data-transmission from weather-station to the server does not work at low temperatures outside)
QuotaWatcher- simple AFS-quota-monitor for KDE-system-tray which warns the user if quota is above a certain level and shows current quota on mouse-over (Screenshot)
DynaSquAcCo (Dynamic Squid Access Controller)- simple Squid-URL-redirector for dynamic internet-access-control, i.e. deny requests for certain URLs, from certain users or hosts etc. (after compiling add "redirect_program /usr/bin/dynasquacco" to squid.conf)
TodoX- small experimental real-mode operating system with several drivers for IDE-HD, IDE-floppy, serial/ps2-mouse, SVGA-cards, FAT16 etc. even with simple GUI-framework
